“Time for An Awakening” for Sunday 8/16/2020 our guest was Author, Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Jerome Fox. Some of our collective views on Politics, Education, Economics, etc. suggests that an addiction to core values that inherently promote tacit acceptance of white domination. The discussion centered around his book “Addicted to White: The Oppressed in League with The Oppressor” A Shame-Based Alliance, along with solutions for our community to break addiction and move forward. In 2020, from the need to develop a new mindset in our communities, to our political and economic empowerment, the solution to these problems must come from us.

The Black Reality Think Tank host a conversation on leadership in Black America then and now. Guest include renowned author/educator Dr. Bruce Bridges and International recognized poet/author, and participant of the original Black Panther Party Brother Marvin X. The discussion will focus on the “leadership” platforms of the National Black Political Party convention held in Gary, Indiana in 1972, the Black Powermovent of the ’60s, and the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement of today.

INTELLECTUAL WARFARE BETWEEN THE AFRICAN AND EUROPEAN WORLD

In order to wage a successful campaign of physical warfare against a nation, the battle must begin with the mind and intellect. Europe’s physical onslaught 0f Africa began in its universities, churches, books, art, religious artifacts, religious text, music, statues, etc. Is that battle of ideas and intellect still being waged by Europe on African people today? If so how and how can the process be halted? Can there be a counter intellectual and cultural attack by the African world and if so how and when?

These and other questions and thoughts will be discussed by the Black Reality Think Tank host and community panel,

The Black Reality Think Tank will host a discussion with Brother Wayne A. Young, Publisher of a Pan African Journal entitled “Port of Harlem” (www.portofharlem.net) and Brother Alfonzo Watkins CEO of the Milwaukee African American Elders Council, a Pan African action group of community activist.
